f/8.0 ISO 100
It was very bright out, so I thought 100 could handle the light the best. The d.o.f. gave me pause for thought. Although I'm sure the actual depth of these clouds was in the miles, they were so far away from me that they looked very flat - rather like a painting - so I chose f/8. (I did not shoot a series using different f/stops and ISO.)
This was taken on Saturday at about 1:30 p.m. up at Marymoor Park in Redmond. The cloud formations were incredible that day. I have never tried to capture clouds, so I thought I'd give it a shot! I like the color palatte in this photo. It captures what it really looked like. In all honesty...I forgot to look at the histogram before I downloaded this to my computer!
I like this shot. I like the depth of it and the colors that showed up as well. It looks like you took this way up high, were you on the ground? Did you use a filter of any kind?
