These two photos were taken on the same day both at an ISO of 200, the first I loved the colors and the way the sun was hitting the red leaves, reminded me of a water color, settings were F5.6 and 1/2500 sec. The 2nd shot i was trying to hide that bright sun behind the trees, i took this shot from several different angles, i think this was my favorite, i love the halo effect on the leaves. Settings F14 1/5000 sec. Tuesday, May 18, 2010

Terri Perkins -- "Spring" Green

This little guy was hanging out on our peony bush on a clear sunny morning. I chose not to use my tripod while shooting, as I didn't want to frighten him away! I was having trouble deciding on a favorite shot -- so I posted three. All three are shot with my Nikon D90, f/5.6, ISO 200, White Balance - Daylight, Spot Metering. I was playing with the exposure compensation to brighten up the images (with the first and second images at +0.7 step and the last image at +1.7 step, and a bit blown out -- but I kind of liked it!). Which one do you like best?
